Day 1: Poltu Quatu to Capera and Cala Spalmatore
For the first day of your yacht charter, the crew will welcome you on board and you can get to know the yacht that you will be spending the next week or so on! Departing from Poltu Quatu, you will begin the cruise to the Caprera Island; this enchanting spot is where Garibaldi spent the last years of his life. You then head onto Cala Spalmatore, a beach suitable for children and families to swim, sunbathe and socialise! It will be hard to find a beach that compares to this sheltered spot with pink stones and a fabulous bar. Don't miss 'aperibeach' with cocktails and a DJ at sunset providing a magical atmosphere.
Day 2: Cala Spalmatore to Isola Tavolara and Porto Rotondo
Continuing on from Cala Spalmatore, you will arrive at Isola Tavolara, a mountain of limestone and granite rising up more than 500m out of the sea. Tavolara, particularly the southern area known as Teddja Liscia is a hotspot for scuba divers and snorkelers wishing to see colourful marine environments and their habitants! Then, cruise along Porto Rotondo and settle in; you can jump off the boat to grab an ice cream at the popular ice cream parlour, offering a variety of flavours for a refreshing treat. Prepare to be overwhelmed by the warm breeze, aroma and village brimming with energy. As the sun sets, choose a bar with a view and sip an Apérol or Martini, the traditional sundowners here!
Day 3: Porto Rotondo to Portese Bay, anchoring at Poltu Quatu near Porto Cervo
Setting off from Porto Rotondo, you will head to the charming Portese Bay, where the secluded beach of Cala Portese is a welcome spot for you to delve into the clear waters and bronze yourself on the sugar white sand. End the day back at Poltu Quatu, which offers panoramic views and a hotel if you fancy a spot of golf or some time on their private beach. Porto Cervois a short distance away, which is an elegant and unique town where the marina is brimming with mega yachts and there are endless boutiques for the shopaholics in the group!
Day 4: Poltu Quatu to Baja Sardinia and Isola dei Gabbiani, anchoring at Isola Maddalena Port
From Poltu Quatu, Baja Sardinia is a short distance away offering a 300m stretch of beach, suitable for snorkelling as well as windsurfing. The area of Baja Sardinia is well known for its restaurants and bars, so head to one of these for a pick me up if you fancy! Moving along to Isola dei Gabbiani, thrill seekers will be happy to hear that this is a haven for kitesurfers. End your day at Isola Maddalena where you will stay overnight; this beautiful small town is lined with family style restaurants and bars, as well as a lively fishing district to explore.
Day 5: Isola Maddalena to Spargi, anchoring at Porto della Madonna
After a spot of breakfast, you will continue to the north easternmost part of Sardinia called Spargi, an unspoilt paradise of beauty with a rocky coast and countless sandy bays to drop anchor. Large underwater attractions include the Washington shallows for those who wish to discover the marine life in the area. For a spectacular view, the crystalline luminosity of the turquoise reflections is a sight to remember!
Day 6: Cavallo and Isola Piana
Cavallo is a hidden gem of the Lavezzi archipelago, between Corsica and Sardinia, best accessed by boat. On shore, the lavish Hotel & Spa des Pêcheurs offers a spa, gym and outdoor pool, all available to non-residents for only €20 a day. Also featuring a seafront restaurant with exquisite food, this is the perfect spot for a tranquil lunch. After your time at Cavallo, the captain will begin the cruise to Isola Piana, one of the Lavezzi Islands. The brilliant blue seas and shell sand beaches are a popular hub for divers and snorkelers because of the myriad of tropical fish that await under the surface. Fun fact; this was actually a refuge for pirates, so feel like you are in a scene of Pirates of the Caribbean as you slip off your swim platform into this emerald green bay.
Day 7: Plage de Roccapina to Bonifacio
Roccapina beach is a natural bay with rocks to the sides, overlooked by the Lion de Roccapina located in south-west Corsica. This part of the island has a popular trail leading up to a panoramic viewpoint, for those who wish to stretch their legs and take in a sea view! From here, you will cruise along to Bonifacio, an unmissable spot that is perched dramatically on the cliffs edge resembling a medieval village. Enjoy a wonderful meal on deck or hop off into the town for a bite to eat, depending on your preference!
Day 8: Bonifacio
Bonifacio is where you disembark your charter, but make the most of exploring the wonderful town with its distinctive sun-bleached town houses, timeworn chapels as well as trendy brasseries! We hope that the crew and your time on your charter would have exceeded your expectations.
