Day 1: Phuket to Phang Nga Bay

pang nga bay thailand

Described as the ‘pearl of the Andaman’ and a very popular holiday destination for jet-setters at quieter parts of the island, beginning your charter from Phuket is bound to give you a taste for some fun in the sun. You can then enjoy a sail northeast to the spectacular landscape of Phang Nga Bay, with limestone cliffs rising out of tranquil waters and wonderfully peaceful beaches.

You may wish to stop off at Koh Hong to take a refreshing dip in the water or explore by kayak. The shores and water are teeming with beautiful wildlife, unlike anywhere else in the world. In the evening, anchor at an island with the most spectacular views and enjoy a cocktail while your chef prepares a magnificent dinner of local cuisine and seafood.

Day 2: Krabi to Raleigh Beach

Today you will pass more stunning limestone cliffs as you weave your way through the islands towards the next anchorage. This is a great opportunity to dive in and try out the water toys available on board, snorkel in the beautiful waters and kayak right up to the shore of the islands.

When you reach Raleigh Beach, you can try some rock climbing up the cliffs rising straight out of the water with climbing for all levels, this is a great opportunity for a family adventure and fantastic views the higher you climb!

Day 3: Tiger Cave to Ao Nang

Today, take a trip inland and join the monks praying at the Tiger Cave Temple, or Wat Tham Suea where tigers were supposedly said to roam. If you are feeling fit, then be sure to take the 1,237 steps up the “stairway to heaven” where a Buddha statue and some of the most tremendous views of Thailand awaits.

After an exhausting climb, you will be ready to relax in the shade on board or head around the corner to the little town of Ao Nang where you can enjoy some shopping or sip a cocktail on one of the beaches framed by the limestone cliffs surrounding them.

Day 4: Koh Gai and Koh Hong, Krabi

Today you can sail to the nearby island of Koh Gai, otherwise known as Chicken Island due to the protruding rock formation that resembles a chicken’s head. At low tide, you can walk along the long white sand bank between the islands. Be sure to bring ashore the snorkelling equipment to make the most of the crystal-clear water and delicate reefs filled with colourful marine life.

The island of Koh Hong offers a far more tranquil visit with yet more sandy beaches and fabulous snorkelling. If you fancy hiking inland, you will discover a hidden lagoon and a collection of caves ideal for exploring.

Day 5: Koh Bon to Phi Phi Lay

This morning, watch the sunrise as you sail to where Leonardo di Caprio starred in “The Beach” at the island of Phi Phi Lay. Experience some of the most breath-taking views as you enjoy your breakfast floating on the azure waters next to the white sand beaches.

Enjoy snorkelling and diving around the colourful reefs and see marine life such as pipefish, seahorses and razorfish as well as their larger cousins like leopard sharks, reef sharks, crocodile long-toms and turtles. For a unique beach experience, visit Monkey Beach on the big Phi Phi Island, which as its name suggests is home to a colony of monkeys.

Day 6: Koh Lanta to Koh Rok Nok

Today you will sail east to Koh Lanta, in the province of Krabi where you will find an abundance of wildlife in the mangroves and rainforest. The beaches are surrounded by beautiful coral reefs, ideal for yet more underwater exploration. If you fancy an inland adventure, then head to the Khlong Chak Waterfall for a hike through the rainforest and a serene pool above for relaxing.

This afternoon, if the hike wasn’t to your taste, you can continue on to Koh Rok Nok, a protected wildlife habitat that forms part of the Marine National Park. There are beautiful coral gardens and colourful fish visible right below the yacht, making this an exciting destination without even disembarking. Make a splash and snorkel in the warm and clear waters for hours on end.

Day 7-8: Koh Butang and Koh Adang

Sail south today to the islands of Batong for about 6 hours where you can enjoy the warm climate and luxuriate on the deck. These islands aree part of the Tarutao National Park and therefore have beautifully clear waters and vibrant coral reefs ideal for yet more snorkelling and diving with tropical marine life. You can kayak along the rocks and crevices of this wonderful coastline.

Enjoy the deserted tropical beach of Koh Adang and spend more time exploring in or on the water, there is so much to see, be sure to pack a waterproof camera! On the south tip of the island, you can visit the small gypsy village where you can meet the locals and experience some of their flavoursome fresh produce.

Day 9: Koh Lipe

Filled with vibrant marine life and empty sandy beaches, this small quiet island is perfect to feel completely free from the rest of the world. Stretch out in the sun either on board or on the beach and feel completely at one with your beautiful surroundings.

You can kayak through the mangrove forest to the crocodile cave to see more of the colourful wildlife of the island and enjoy the serenity of the forest. In the evening, head to the end of Au Son beach for panoramic views of the mountain and forest as well as a spectacular sunset over the Andaman.

Day 10: Disembark Langkawi

Disembark at your final destination of Langkawi and say goodbye to your fabulous yacht and crew. If you have time to spare, then why not take the cable car up the island’s highest mountain for some amazing views over the countryside and surrounding waters.
